A Personal Note from Dr. Shoemaker

I have often stated that the happiest place in a hospital is the maternity ward - as there is nothing like a new birth! So it is with Church Planting. New churches possess energy, passion, joy, and vision. There is a "spiritual electricity" that is obvious in new churches that cannot be duplicated elsewhere.

I am so honored and grateful that God has called me to assist church planters. The attached Church Planting Prospectus shares in detail the burden God has placed on my heart and the work He desires for us to accomplish.

In order to see and experience a genuine move of God in our country, new churches must be planted.  As you will read in the Prospectus, we are currently not getting the job done!  Churches are closing at alarming numbers, new church plants are failing, and many older, established congregations are struggling to evangelize their communities.

If all of us work together, we can make a difference in America and in the world.  Please take the time to read the Prospectus and then return your Church Planting Investment Response card. (Please note:  If the Submit By Email button does not work, you may need to save your completed form and email it as an attachment.)

You may view the Prospectus by clicking on the PDF link. Thank you for taking the time to view this information.

Focusing on the Needs of the Family, Part I

In my travels throughout America, I have observed that healthy churches are churches that know how to focus on the needs of the family.  They understand both the importance of the family and the great challenges facing the family.  It has been said that a local church is only as strong as its weakest home.  With this in mind, the key to strengthening the church lies in our ability to strengthen the family.

Even lost people are searching for help and hope as it pertains to their family.  To those without Christ, life is often a mystery and struggle.  Their need, of course, can only be met through Jesus Christ and His Word.  In today?s world, the local church must specialize on extending insightful instruction to families seeking Christ and to those who already know Him but need to be taught how better to live for Him.
